About
The State Revenue News (SRN) is the official journal of the State Revenue Society. It is a quarterly, full-color publication, in print since 1959.
Besides each issue’s research articles outlining new discoveries, regular features include:
- The President’s Notebook

- Letters to the Editor
- Catalog Editor’s Report
- Auctions
- “Spotlight On…”, in which SRS members describe how they got started with state revenues and their collection interests
Originally born as the State Revenue Newsletter, the early history of the SRN is nicely summarized in an article on the occasion of its 200th issue in 1991.
To further our educational mission, the SRS makes available back issues of the SRN free of charge.
Deadlines
Those wishing to publish articles, Letters to the Editor, or advertisements should have material to the Editor on the following schedule:

Rates are for publication-ready submissions only. Display ads must be publication quality (≥ 300 dpi images or PDFs).

Text Ads
- $1 per issue ≤ 25 words; 5¢ per word over 25 words. Word counts don’t include name and address.
- Three insertions for the price of two. Five insertions for the price of three.
- SRS members may place free ads up to 40 words long, renewable by request after four issues (fewer insertions by request), on a space-available basis. (Ads over 40 words are priced as a separate paid ad.)
